Practical Information

Practical information

At Vakantiekids we have a variety of fun activities for children aged 4 to 12 years old during the summer holidays. Because we regularly receive the same questions from parents, we have collected them below to provide you with quick answers.

Entrance fees

Entrance fees 2025:

€0.75 cents per half day.

A whole day including lunch is €2.00. You can pay cash or with a tikkie at the cash register.

From 2025 we will also work with stamp cards. More information about this will follow.

Opening hours

The morning part of the day starts at 10:00 and runs until 12:00. After a nice lunch break we continue with the afternoon part of the day from 13:00 to 16:00.

Registration is possible 15 minutes before the start, so from 9:45 am and from 12:45 pm.

To enrol

Registration is possible at the cash register from fifteen minutes before the start of each part of the day. We strive to start on time and would appreciate it if you or your child could also be on time! It is important to allow sufficient time for the registration process, so that everything can run smoothly and we can offer everyone a warm welcome.

After payment, your child will receive a colored wristband, so that we can quickly see which children are registered and which are not. We also mention any allergies and dietary requirements on this.

Lunch

The children who are with us in the morning or during the whole day can choose to have lunch with us. We provide a healthy sandwich and occasionally a special treat. In addition, we also hand out some fruit every now and then.

They can also drink unlimited lemonade or water throughout the day. If your child has specific dietary requirements, avoids certain foods for religious reasons, or has allergies, please let us know when registering. We will take this into account.

Lunch costs

Because local entrepreneurs sponsor a large part of our lunch, we can offer it for only €0.50.

The condition is that your child comes to play during the morning. This way we can take the purchase into account.

Location

To make the registration as smooth as possible, we prefer to travel by bike, public transport or on foot. It is allowed to park temporarily at our Kiss&Ride, but we kindly ask you to leave the Kiss&Ride with your car as soon as possible after registering. This way, space is made for other cars and we prevent traffic jams.

The address of our location is Achterhoekseweg 9. To take the best route, set your car navigation to cycle routes. From the Europalaan you can drive onto the cycle path and continue onto the Achterhoekseweg.

Lost and found

Next to the cash register there is a bin for lost and found items during Vakantiekids. Everything we find we will put in this bin. After the event, lost and found items will be kept for a while, but eventually we will clean up all found items.

Safety

Vakantiekids is held on a closed terrain, where the terrain can only be left via the cash register. Leaving the terrain is at your own risk, so make sure to agree with your child whether they can go home themselves, or whether they will be picked up.

Contact details

We ask you to ensure that your child always has contact information with us so that we can reach you or another caregiver. This way we can reach you if your child becomes ill or wants to go home. Your child can contact the organization to make the call.

Bad weather

In case of bad weather, we have enough space inside to do fun activities, such as watching movies, playing board games, crafting and much more! And let's be honest, it's also quite fun to jump in the puddles outside, right? So, put on your wellies and come join the fun!

Extremely hot weather

Our activities will take place in all weather conditions. First of all, make sure your child is covered in sunscreen (we also have sunscreen available). Don't forget to bring swimming gear, as there is a big chance that we will adjust the program and play with water. Of course, we will announce this in advance on our socials.

Sign

Since our site is located in a wooded area, it is wise to check your child for ticks every evening. Has your child been bitten by a tick and does he/she show a red ring (erythema migrans) on the skin or has he/she developed a fever after a tick bite? Please report this on www.tekenradar.nl. Via this website you can contribute to national research into tick bites and Lyme disease.
