When organising Vakantiekids, our volunteers are indispensable. They make the difference with their dedication and enthusiasm, which gives the children a great experience. To ensure that everything runs smoothly and everyone knows what to expect, we ask all our volunteers to sign a volunteer agreement. This agreement is more than just a formal document; it is an important step to ensure clarity and transparency. Below we explain why this agreement is crucial and what agreements we make.

Why an agreement?

  1. Clarity and Transparency: The volunteer agreement ensures that everyone involved is on the same page. It describes the expectations, responsibilities and rights of both the organization and the volunteers. This prevents misunderstandings and ensures that everyone knows exactly what is expected of them.
  2. Responsibilities and Rights: By signing the agreement, volunteers acknowledge their role and responsibilities. This helps to create a professional and organized working environment. At the same time, volunteers get clarity about their rights and the support they can expect from the organization.

Rights and obligations

The agreement describes the rights and obligations of both the volunteer and the organization. This ensures a safe and pleasant working environment.

What does the agreement say?

  1. Role and Responsibilities: We describe the specific tasks and responsibilities that come with the volunteer role. This includes the number of hours expected, the nature of the work, and collaboration with other team members.
  2. Code of Conduct: Volunteers must also sign a code of conduct. This code contains guidelines on how to behave, both towards the children and other volunteers and staff. It promotes a positive and safe atmosphere and ensures that everyone adheres to the agreed standards.
